The Meaning of Kama Sutra
Kama has long been revered
as the Hindu God of Love. Sutra refers to a narrative,
manual or guide. The Kama Sutra of Vatsyayana, written
in India during the fourth century, is a work of
philosophy, psychology, Hindu teachings and a classic
guide to lovemaking, reflecting the social and sexual
customs of the times. The teachings include the
use of oils, fragrances, and unguents to enhance
the senses and sexual pleasure. Much of this age-old
manual transcends time, and has served us well as
inspiration for our products, packaging and philosophy.
